グルーヴコースターのプレイヤーに!? / You Want Me to Be a Groover?!
あはは、フワッフせんせーは何でもかんでも
グルーヴコースター目線なんだよー。
Ahaha, Mr. Fwuff here sees everything through Groove Coaster-colored lenses, you see.
Now the Japanese reveals the “Fwuff” name, as Canon says it with the same cute “sense-” せんせー
配達のバイトっす!
スケボーが一番速いんすよ!
I'm on the grind working a part-time delivery job! Skateboarding's the fastest way to zip around!
It’s a delivery job-っす! I’ll stop mentioning this quirk now.
ねえお願い。うちの部ってふたりしかいなくて。
わたしが棄権すると、試合に出れなくなっちゃうの!
Listen, our club only has two members, so if I can't compete, then we'll have to forfeit. Please help us out!
It’s a good translation. But still, I love the てしまう / ちゃう (te shimau / chau) that Canon uses to express distress or an undesirable state. It’s cute. Also “ne onegai” ねえお願い comes first in Japanese, which makes the “please help” start the sentence instead of ending it, and has a better nuance of someone like her asking for help.
ありがとうー!
キミやさしー♪ 男前ー!
Thanks a bunch—that's super sweet of you! ♪ You're my knight in shining armor!
You can tell how much I love Canon’s hiragana. “You are so kind” being やさしー instead of 優しい is so good. Also otokomae 男前 literally means handsome man, and I think I like the English one better on this.
