An all-rounder fast song with both streams and duals, with noticeably short song length. Due to that reason, it seems to be very hot especially on start which reminds me of "Catcher in the Ui" in the same genre. It's composed by ARM (IOSYS).
: I think the starting guitar is cursed. Even though I already reset dominant hand on both the left and right arrow and try darnest to hit it accurately, SLOW mysteriously appears both on the way left and on the way right. When I play it very fast just to spite it, I seems to be able to get good judgements though it sounded off. I suspect it starts hot without any prior music making it hard to get into the rhythm, or the guitars are not dead-exact on the notes and throwing me off. I think I restarted on this guitar the most time which is very annoying as I felt like I was just in the loading screen.
: The 12th stream section is hard to learn, but once you know how to tense your hand correctly throughout and on the transition to dual, your chance of survival drastically improve unlike the guitar prior. So I suggest if you fail the guitar, continue playing until this is done to get some practices in. The dual is Special, but it is not entirely "free", when you see the duals you might ended up tensing the finger too much special or not. The fact that triplet grid beat makes the number of circles 6 also mattered because it makes an even number, and you will end with your non-dominant hand. Sometimes the transition from non-dominant hand to dual felt weird at first.
: The end features a long one along the curve which is the hardest since song didn't really start yet, so it is very easy to drift out along the curve. I think I took 2 hours of retrying until I can get out of here cleanly with more than 50% chance. After the curve you can ad-lib through the silence to bridge towards the white circles accurately.
: The rest are basic strategy, align fingers to the arrows and hit them.
: Weird even-numbered stream, just prepare mentally that it's going to end on your non-dominant hand. After, see where the lines are poking out and remember to play them as 12ths on triplet grid beat.
: The long 16th stream has Special on each 4 bar to help you resync. If you just do right-left it will actually line up all the way, but it require prior knowledge. Personally I prefer pressing the white circles using buttons parallel to the line direction (in this case line going up, buttons I often use are up and down) because arrows are more likely to be perpendicular to the rail direction. When either left or right arrow comes I have to move fingers but I think my accuracy is better that way than doing something repetitive for long time and risk drifting out. Basically I play all these white circles as up-down.
: The most complex rhythm here when Marine ask god for a real pirate crew. I've made a short cheat sheet to visualize it, yet still I think I never came out of this section 100% clean even once! The piano are placed on all possible 16th note spots (visualized as yellow blocks). Once you lock into the 16th beat from the first 2 notes (red-yellow, 4th beat and 16th beat) the interval between each yellow are 8th in length and is quite managable. Where you see lines coming out from the note use triplet grid and that is also managable. What's really hard is the moment of transition from the 16th yellow land to the 12th green triplet land, visualized as consecutive yellow-red-green in the graphic. In that span of time, there are 3 length of interval between notes you must perform : 8th, 16th, then 12th, before they let you do consistent 12th stream and finally onwards to familliar 16th stream. I always got tripped up somewhere in that transition as seen in this run. I never got this section right so I decided to give up and use this video as other sections looks decent for a tutorial.
: From this point onwards are straightforward, power section where lyric accents are on dual-type notes, often supported by Special. Even though the dual arrows are often special they aren't free: the button travel distance between them are often opposite direction, so it is possible to press wrong button or even press where there is no button on the controller at this speed and lose a lot of points. (They count as 4x score as dual arrows are already 2x in one, and these are Special)
: These 4 red arrows are not special, and the slight difficulty will be on the right then left as you have to one-hand it and travel across the pad, and on filling the blank with some ad-libs to the next white circles just so you don't fumble in the lack of note. Most players should be right hander and can maintain accuracy just fine. They are red without any blue to balance it out because Marine is declaring her crew's name. Aren't you glad her theme color is not blue? There are tons of Special afterwards on the ending 12ths so there should be nothing more to worry.
