Notes:
- : I like to use only my dominant hand for alternating squares and circles like this for accuracy. (If BPM is slow enough, like this song.) You may try using shoulder button of the other side if that works for you.
- : This song is slow enough that for this 1-1-3-1-1 pattern you can always reset dominant hand if you want more accuracy. (Right hander : R-R-RLR-R-R)
- : This 5-1-5 part reminds me of DDR note chart, where the notes are more than the syllables of the lyrics so you are required to divide up the beats on your own. It is recommended to reset your dominant hand each time to maintain the accuracy. (For right hander : RLRLR - R - RLRLR)
- : Ah, don't need no sun"block" this down arrow need a bit of attention as it is on the beat of 16th note.
- : You can utilize the low BPM of this song to practice crossover patterns on this part! You can see there are 2 arrows, one going left and one going right. The amount of white circle notes between them is odd numbered (3), make it possible for one hand to stay completely still on one button while the other hand travels around between left, up/down, right. I did it twice in this part, please see how my finger on the red joystick didn't move but on the blue side it moves around. It might sounds making yourself more trouble on this song, but in the previous game they use this in very fast song and having to move in only one hand became critical.
- : Dual circle in-between squares are going to be mainstay pattern in this game. They will confuse you a little bit when you just started out. The slow BPM here is perfect to practice them. If you can't do it, it is probably because you are not used to the hand shape where your index finger is hovering on the shoulder button, and also your thumbs are hovering somewhere over the face buttons, and you also try to make your base of your thumb to grip the controller.
- : The 2nd repeat also use crossover pattern, but it's vertical. I'm not good at reading vertical crossovers, so I just move around both hands this time.
- : The line note's ending tail does make a bit of response sound automatically, it might help you time the next note.
- : The incoming circle note is on the up beat (8th), not down beat. You can perform a little bit of crossover here too.(See how only my blue side finger moves, not the red side.)
- : This long 16th stream is the hardest part of this song. I also most of the time unable to get all Perfect+ in this part. What makes it hard is that the beat stops being four-on-the-floor here with the claps in the background music removed, and the special note (gold-rimmed notes) they put according to the lyrics plays a special response sound that may throw you off. This can be get around by choosing a simple note sound option before you start this song.
- My personal technique is to notice which gold notes aligns with my dominant hand, and play with more weight or more mindfulness on those notes to make them resync/anchor points for the rest of the notes. There are 8 gold notes, the lyric is どんどん新境地イっちゃいそ? (don don shinkyouchi ich chai so?) and will end on your dominant hand if you start with your dominant hand. The only syllable NOT aligning with your dominant hand are "kyou" and "chai". Aceent weight for the rest of the syllables and make sure そ ends on your dominant hand.
- : The following dual square notes are also dangerous because the music became silent, the last beat was on up beat, and the dual square is also on up beat. If the metronome in your head isn't good enough, it is easy to get FAST/SLOW here. (Like I did, but I don't want to retry anymore...)
- : The song's signature pattern is back but with 3-notes 16th circles instead of 1 note. You can still do crossover here but it will be trickier. See how I could refuse to move my red side's finger and they all worked out, moving just the blue side, this works because the in-between of arrows remains odd-numbered. If it's too much for you, you can move both sides along the way. However I want to stress that if you can do crossovers, they will be useful in faster songs where you can't really afford to move both sides without losing accuracy. As for the background, this is nothing compared to playing Boom Boom Dollar with its psychedelic rainbow swirls background with animating rainbow noteskins back in my days with the DDR on the PS1...
- : Get some practice of the triplet grid division here, on the dual square notes with highlight lines poking out from them. (1 beat divided to 3 instead of according to the time signature of the song, 4.) If you can't do consecutive dual circles fast enough, try lifting your fingers less in-between presses. Yeah baby!
- : Get some more horizontal crossover pattern practice here, now only one circle note in-between the arrows. This time, I move around my right hand for the first one, then I move around my left hand for the second one. (I think if song is faster, I'd prefer moving around my dominant hand so my non-dominant hand can get some rest.)
- : Practice resetting your dominant hand here too. Notes are 3 - 1 - 5, I'm right-handed, so I did RLR - R - RLRLR.
- : The up and down arrow at the end got me a few times because of the camera angle. The perspective made the distance look uneven, but they are all 8th beats apart from each other and also 8th beat apart from both dual circles.
