Notes :
- This song is almost entirely on triplet swing (1 beat divided into 3 or 6), except where highlight lines are poking out from the notes, those are notecharters saying you should perform them in regular "straight" beats (1 beat divided into 2 or 4).
- : The intro part has two important triplet swing note distance available for you to use retry in pause menu and practice as needed. Distance between circle note #1 and #2 is what I'll call long triplet swing (2/6), and distance between circle note #5 and #6 is short triplet swing (1/6). Please get used to these slightly longer and shorter note distance than what you used to in 1/4 (1/6 < 1/4 < 2/6). Anyways, even when you already understand the beat, look at your avatar closely to time while in the intro because main drum isn't playing for you to vibe along yet.
- : All short triplet swings.
- : Play straight (1/4, 1/2 distance) for all these square notes, prepare to bring your groove back to triplet as you tuck away your index fingers.
- : The 2 sets of arrow pairs marks long swings for the first time since intro, followed by 4 sets of short swings.
- : The distance between arrow notes are all long swings for the entire pre-chorus section, except "Jinsei wa..." at is a lone short swing. The circle after each 2 arrows (and before a line note) is slightly dangerous as it is also on triplet grid and it is easy get FAST because that is the beat of the straight grid. You'll get used to this slightly laid-back syllable soon after a few tries.
- : The lead up to chorus alternates between long swings and short swings, and ends with long stream of short swings (24th stream). This long stream looks scary, but after a while you will notice that you no longer get any bad judgements here compared to later in this song with less notes BUT more variety of beats throw at you. All these with the same 1/6 distance became much easier.
- (and other similar repeated parts) : Chorus section uses mainly short swings, except at the end where pair of arrows () marks where you should use long swing distance.
- (and other similar repeated parts) : There are two line notes with combination up arrow at their end. If you always swing starting with your dominant hand, you will ended up using different hand for up arrows.
- (and other similar repeated parts) : Play straight (1/4, 1/2). The ending two times clap here with the dual up arrows are nice help to get you time and mind to transition back to triplet grid, since this simple beat is shared between straight and triplet grid.
- : This straight beats section is much more difficult to "get out" than previous ones due to having no double claps, etc. like the previous set. It just make you go swinging in triplet immediately after only one circle note. (I got two FASTs in a row!) Moreover, the camera is inverse perspective. If you played Crash Bandicoot before you probably remembered some stages that you run towards the screen instead, and it is much harder to react to the notes that appears from the bottom of the screen.
- : This time the white arrow in-between the dual arrows are facing left, but I'm right hander, I can use my right hand to press the left arrows. Even though it requires large amount of movement like you see in the video, I think it is worth it for accuracy. If you are left-hander, you might had the same problem earlier at or the next ones where the white arrows are facing right.
- : That one square note after the line note's tail is quite hard to read due to the camera rotated to inverse perspective view. The distance between the line's tail and the square note is half a beat (1/2), it is not on triplet grid. But you have to resume doing more short swings afterwards. Inverse perspective view continues. They expect you to already learn the beats, so try to rely less on visual and perform this set by ear. If you survives, the song then rotate to right-to-left rail and stay there until the end.
- : The catchy chorus repeats one last time, with the same straight section with the exact same feature (the claps two times that goes to double up arrows) that help you get back to triplet feel. After going through an another straight section, don't exit straight mode because the song ends with all-squares straight beats. Done! This song is tricky but I think it will make you a very good musician if you can play it consistently...
